SulfaMed Injection 40% is a broad spectrum antibacterial for the treatment of bovine shipping fever complex and bacterial pneumonia associated with Pasteurella spp. sensitive to sulfadimethoxine, foot rot and calf diphtheria caused by Fusobacterium necrophorum sensitive to sulfadimethoxine. Convenient, once-a-day dosing. Safe – approved by the FDA.
Each ml contains 400 mg sulfadimethoxine.
Directions: By IV, to be administered in amounts to provide 25 mg/lb for initial dose, followed by 12.5 mg/lb for maintenance doses every 24 hours. See label for complete instructions. 60 hour milk withdrawal; 5 day slaughter withdrawal. A withdrawal period has not been established for pre-ruminating calves. Do not use in veal calves
